Chris Walker - Human Resources Manager, River City Newspapers
Chris Walker began her duties as Human Resource managing at Today's News-Herald April 30, 2007. Chris comes to the paper from Phoenix and brings with her more than 25 years of H.R. and payroll experience. Most recently, she served as human resource/payroll director of the largest landscaping company in Arizona with more than $60 million in revenue and 650 employees. She was employee of the year in 2005 and executive employee of the year in 2006. Chris has a knack of being able to communicate with employees and make them comfortable in their employment with a company. Most of her experience comes from working in Southern California where she was H.R. support for a large automotive group. Chris brings with her a wealth of experience. Her addition to RCN makes it possible to move forward to the next level of employee relations. "We are fortunate to have Chris on board" said president and publisher Mike Quinn.
When not at work, Chris can be found out on the lake with her dog, Cody. Her No. 1 love is the outdoors. Chris is enthusiastic about her new position with River City Newspapers and looks forward to being able to support the staff.
